Bespoke Photography Workshops
If you’d prefer to learn outside a group setting with more flexibility, more individual attention and a tailored location, or if you’d like to develop a custom experience with a group of friends, then this is the offering for you.
A private photography workshop can take any form that you would like - whether it’s a single day near your home or 10 days interstate. We can focus on fostering creativity, in-field practical instruction, post-processing tuition, reading the weather forecast for optimal conditions and much more.
You’ll also learn how to best utilise available light for maximum productivity, as well as how to showcase a scene both effectively and creatively. This blend of both proactivity and reactivity to the landscape, light and prevailing conditions are what makes up much of my work, which you will learn first-hand.
Most of all, we’ll be working on your personal growth as a photographer and artist. These experiences are not for my own portfolio, but rather to give you the tools, experience and direction necessary to come away feeling more confident and creative with your nature photography.
Private tuition fees are $950 AUD per day, and $550/day for each additional person (maximum of 4 people). Rates are subject to elements such as extensive travel and accommodation.

Private Workshop Testimonial
“I recently participated in a one-on-one private workshop with Ben in the beautiful landscapes of Tasmania. I have followed Ben's work for a while and felt I could really benefit from his approach to photography and artistic philosophy.
Ben's guidance in deciphering the weather patterns and reading of weather apps got us in the right place at the right time.
This shared knowledge has added a new dimension in my ability to anticipate and adapt to changing conditions.
One of the main lessons I took away from our week together was a profound understanding of harnessing various types of light, extending beyond the golden hours. This allowed me to capture subjects in ways I hadn't explored before.
The true gem of the workshop for me however was in slowing down to appreciate the entire scene. Training my eye with the help of Ben to seek out intimate moments within the larger landscape. This allowed me to craft images that told a more profound story and that I felt more connected to.
This one-on-one workshop was a transformative experience. It not only honed my technical skills but also instilled in me a newfound appreciation for the art of photography. I left with a richer understanding of light, an enhanced ability to interpret weather conditions, and a more deliberate approach to capturing the essence of a scene. If you're seeking a workshop that goes beyond the ordinary and embraces the unpredictable beauty of nature, then I would definitely recommend getting in touch with Ben!” - Marc P
